The Memorial Day Holiday weekend is here, and no matter if you stayed local, or traveled to the hot spots like Miami, Vegas, and Cancun, many of you will be going out to the club with your crew this weekend. 5. No reason to give a person your # when you first meet em, give em your @twitter name.
My Twitter Fam agrees with me on this one, and this goes for the fellas just like the ladies. If you are out of town, and start vibin with someone who’s from another state too, you know the odds of you two getting up after the holiday is slim, but with the power of social networking, you can still remain in contact. Give em your @twitter name and you can keep control over your cell phone daytime minutes without having to do the small talk with your new love interest.
4. Ladies stop dancing in circles together giving each other “hes cute” or “No Go” signs.
Fellas, how many times have you been in the club, and the place is packed, the dancefloor is crazy, and you see a group of four bangin females dancing by themselves? Upon further review, though, you realize that each female is facing each other, and they have some hidden gang signs they throw to each other that tells the other if the guy pushin up from behind her is worth really dancing with him. Sorry ladies, but you gotta let that one go.
3. Standing outside the club for the let out was hot, in 1999. Think Jay Z Parkin Lot Pimpin.
Through my many trips to Miami during Memorial Day Weekend, I remember times when we never actually went in the club, but spent the entire time outside, waiting for the let out. For those not familiar, you ever stumble out of the club after a great night partying, and when you head outside, there’s a group of fellas still fresh, like they just walked out their house/hotel room? It’s because they been standing out there plotting on you for three hours. I’m not saying don’t spit game, but at least go in the club, or deal with females who aren’t coming out the club.
2. Ladies, just because it looks good on the mannequin in the mall, that doesnt mean it will look good on you.
This rule has been broken more times over the years than any. You probably know someone who has violated this too. A female goes to the mall, walks by the window, and sees a pretty sun dress hanging up. She knows that’s her color, and can envision herself in it. Hours later, she meets up with her girls, and they lie to her and say she looks good, knowing she shouldn’t walk out the door with that shit on. When she gets to the club, she becomes the spare tire of the group, as the rest of her girls got fellas all over them, and she stands there complaining about how hot it is, or the party’s wack.
1. Fellas, Nuvo is a drink marketed towards the ladies…don’t buy a bottle and try to stunt.
This one hits home for me, because I have friends that have done this. You all know you’ve seen this happen. Ever since buying bottles became cool, fellas brothas guys niggas have been trying to one-up each other. Since bottles of other champagnes became so common, and expensive, when Nuvo hit the scene, it seemed like a match made in heaven. Usually much cheaper than other bottles, it became a hit with budget ballers. Not a good look fam.
