Morgan Jolly

Model: Morgan Jolly
Home: Atlanta
Height: 5′4
Measurements: 34-24-43
Official MySpace Page
Official Website

WLHH: Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to talk to us Morgan. For those who may be seeing you for the first time, how did you get your start modeling?

Morgan: I started modeling for a local Calendar in Detroit, when I was 18 years old. A few years after that I relocated to Atlanta, GA with hardly anything to my name to move down with but I was determined Atlanta was where I needed to be. After moving to Atlanta I met Sean Rush and his business partner Treagen Kier who is my photographer and did my first professional shoot.

WLHH: Where are you originally from?

Morgan: I am from Detroit, MI now living in Atlanta GA

WLHH: What videos have you been featured in so far?

Morgan: TI “Big Things Popping” was my first video shoot. It was crazy we were on set all day and after the edits were done all the girls got maybe 2 seconds on the video each, but hey that is how it goes. I recently did, “Duffle Bag Boy” Playaz Circle Feat Lil Wayne, and “Baby Don’t Go” Fabolous Feat T-Pain

WLHH: What makes you stand out from the other beautiful models just starting out?

Morgan: My career is moving really fast in the magazine game. I personally believe it is my eyes, but that is what every girl says, I know guys love my figure my waist to booty ratio is what gets them going crazy 34-24-43!

WLHH: Who are some models you look up too in the game?

Morgan: I look up to Tyra Banks she’s the definition of a top model and also Buffy the body for wrecking the urban side of the modeling game.

WLHH: What has been the most valuable lesson you’ve learned since you started?

Morgan: To negotiate my video rate up front instead of doing the video then finding out how much the pay is. I will never forget doing my first video and staying on set for 12 hours, just to be told my pay was $125.00 wow that is a little higher than minimum wage.

Morgan Jolly

WLHH: Whats a day in the life of Morgan like?

Morgan: Waking up checking my emails first, of course checking my myspace page, my website, always business first. Photo shoots and chilling with my home girls my whole crew is beautiful and they don’t even model.

WLHH: What are your first memories of hip-hop?

Morgan: 2 Pac & Biggie I was a young in back then but not young enough to bump to those two guys.

WLHH: Whets in Morgan’s CD Deck/IPOD right now? CTE featuring young Joey Cooperate Thuggin I am a Detroit girl so you know we can be classy but we love thugs and hustlers.

WLHH: If you could be in any 1 artists video, who would that artist be?

Morgan: I would have to say Jay-Z if you make it in one of jay videos consider your self a top-notch chick that man is picky.

WLHH: Where can we see more of you at?

Morgan: Of course my website Morganjolly.com and make sure you pick up that August issue of Show magazine the Black Lingerie issue. A few other magazines that will hit stands soon. I have some Print work coming soon with Konvict Clothing.

Editor Note: This interview was originally completed in 2007.

DJ JButtah brings the heat

by TheBoss on 05/09/2009

in Featured, The New School

WeLoveHipHop.com presents “Get Familiar”
Artist/DJ: DJ JButtah of Total Dynasty Entertainment
Home: DMV(DC/MD/VA)

Virginia gave birth to the Neptunes, Timberland and Missy Elliott, some of musics most creative talent. Fellow VA native DJ ButtahFingaz, a.k.a. J Buttah plans to follow in the footsteps of his inspirations.
These days, artists are afraid to be different. That’s why, he explains, Missy, the Neptunes and Timberland are so successful.

They push the envelope and dig deep inside. Buttah plans to bring that same spark and innovation to the game, to stamp the music scene with that distinct Virgina sound. Buttahs beats, like many Virginia hit makers, blend Northern funk with down South crunk. You’ll feel it when I hit, Buttah assures. My trademark is hitting hard.

Like myself, he continues, my beats have a lot of personality. Ever since he can remember, J. Buttah has had music on his mind. He joined a marching band at the age of four, experimented with turntables in
middle school, and had earned respect as a DJ and recording artist by his sophomore year of college. He can play the drums, piano, trumpet, tuba and a little cello. Music became Buttahs outlet to make people
feel good for the moment. Inspired by both old and new artists, including Quincy Jones, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang, Buttahs style is unique and dynamic, while still reminiscent of some of musics masters. In 2002, he linked up with like-minded musicians Brian Burroughs and Brandon Crumbly to launch Total Dynasty Entertainment. They have worked with reggae sensation Sizzla, ex-Cash Money artist
Fats, Q45 and are in negotiations with Elephant Man.

Music is a feeling, Buttah explains. Nowadays people are too focused on making a certain type of music that appeals to a certain crowd, rather than making music suitable for everyone, he says. I feel that people will be able to enjoy the Total Dynasty Sound regardless of age, sex, or background. The threesome that comprise Total Dynasty work together almost too well. All are talented musicians who read, write and play music. Its an honor, Buttah confirms. We learn from each other, and complement each other.

A recent graduate of Florida A&M University (with honors), Buttah studies Business Administration with a concentration in finance and accounting. With money on his mind and music in his blood, Buttah plans to expand Total Dynasty beyond music into fashion, real estate and model management. He even has ambitions to start a youth foundation for kids interested in music. And maybe even open a summer camp. My main thing is helping people out, concludes Buttah. I want to get up there and bring people with me.

Check out DJ J Buttah’s Myspace Page Here and his company, Total Dynasty Entertainment, right here.
