Damn everything was all good just a week ago. Well, for Scott Storch, it’s more like 3 years ago. TMZ reports today Storch filed Chapter 13 bankruptcy, and his personal business has leaked online. According to reports, the man who once was worth over $70 Million Dollars in 2006, now is in the negative by $58,000 and no way to get out.
Didn’t he once have beef with Timbaland? Wonder who’s laughing now…..

Today Christopher Wallace, a.k.a Notorious B.I.G aka Biggie Smalls would have been 37 years old. There’s no telling if he would have even been rapping at this point, but with artists like LL and Jay Z pushing 40 and holding the mic, theres no reason to think he wouldn’t be. WeLoveHipHop.com pays tribute to Biggie by dropping 5 BIG moments in Biggie Smalls life we were able to witness.
5. The 1995 Source Awards Acceptance Speech
Biggie put Brooklyn on his back and became indirectly the prime target in the cross hairs of Death Row Records during the East/West beef.

4. Skys The Limit Video
Though Biggie wasn’t in the video, this still sits near the top of my favorite videos and songs B.I.G released.

3. Performing Big Poppa in concert
The dynamic duo, Biggie and Puff, doing what they did better than anyone. ever.

2. Interview with Joe Clair

This interview was one of the final interview Biggie recorded before his untimely demise.
1. Biggie and Pac, before the beef.
Most of you never saw this when it happened the first time. Some of you may never have seen this before.
Enjoy if you haven’t.

Remember when there was a time when it was cool to wear a t-shirt of your favorite rap artist/group’s logo on your chest? It seems like so long ago, but I doubt if you went to the mall today you see anyone wearing a T.I. t-shirt(do they even make those?), or a shirt with Common’s logo on it either. At one time, rap groups, their labels, and their promotions team did a great job getting their brand in front of potential customers. Two of the most memorable logos of any rap act are still popular today.
You had Lil Wayne paying homage to the Kings, Run-DMC…
You also haveAdult Star SaraJay rockin the Wutang Clan classic shirt
.
Since the mid 90’s, there has been one person who shamelessly promoted his product/brand better than anyone else in Hip Hop. He has never had the best product in the game since March 9th, 1997, yet he always knows where the cameras are, and you, as a consumer, always know what he’s selling. Of course, you guessed it…Diddy.

In a time where many rappers decided to start their own fashion labels that no one truly cared about, many wasted precious time marketing someone else’s hustle instead of their own brand identity. No matter what label you are signed too, what channel your videos come on, or what website your music is being displayed, your logo/brand face should be more recognizable than you. One artist out now who has also done very well with marketing himself is Eminem. Take a look at his new t-shirt available now on Eminem.com, promoting his latest CD, “Relapse”.
